Roster76 is a field-compiled record of the open web, built from surveys of active destinations across the digital frontier. The name reflects the practice of maintaining a roster — a numbered log of participants, stations, and outposts — as a method for bringing order to a sprawling and ever-changing landscape.
The log currently records 836 entries across 22 territory sections, from social posts and dental outposts to code stations and expedition routes. Each entry was reviewed before being added; the standard is simple — the destination must be active and accessible. No scores, no rankings, no paid placement.
The territory sections were designed to cover the full range of web infrastructure without forcing ill-fitting entries into mismatched categories. A General Territories section handles destinations that resist easy classification. Everything else is sorted by the nature of the service offered.
Filing a new entry is straightforward. Use the submission form, provide a valid URL and a brief description, and select the most appropriate territory section. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis; approved entries appear in the log once the survey is complete.
Roster76 does not accept payment for placement and does not weight entries by traffic or domain metrics. The log reflects what was found in the field, catalogued without commercial favour.
